Itinerary

On arrival at Cape Town Airport you will pick up your hire car and drive yourself to your chosen level of hotel where you will spend the next four nights.

Three full days at leisure to explore the sights of Cape Town. You may choose to visit Robben Island, ascend to the top of Table Mountain, spend a day exploring the Cape Peninsula or just relax and stroll around the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. (B)

After breakfast this morning you will drive yourself approximately 40 minutes to the Cape Winelands. Stay two nights at your chosen level of hotel. (B)

Full day at leisure to enjoy the food, wine and scenery of the Cape Winelands. (B)

After breakfast this morning, travel to Swellendam, the third oldest settlement in South Africa. The town was founded by the Dutch East India Company in 1745 and is situated between Cape Town and George. Continue to Oudtshoorn for overnight. Your drive today will take approximately five hours along the scenic Route 62. (B)

Today drive approximately two hours to Knysna, known as the ‘Gem of the Garden Route’. Nestled between the impressive Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, the Knysna estuary is protected from the sea by the monolithic sandstone ‘Heads’. Stay three nights at your chosen level of hotel (Silver & Platinum Level will stay in Plettenberg Bay). (B)

Two full days at leisure to enjoy all the sights available along the Garden Route. Suggested activities in the region include a visit to the Keurbooms River Nature Reserve, Plettenberg Bay, Monkeyland as well as the many activities on the lagoon in Knysna itself. (B)

After breakfast this morning you will drive yourself approximately four hours along the Garden Route to Gqeberha where you will overnight. (B)

After breakfast this morning you will drive yourself to Gqeberha Airport where you will drop off your hire car and end of your self-drive adventure. (B)
